USRA Winged Dirt Track Sprint Car

Car: USRA Winged Dirt Track Sprint Car
Engine: 360 or 410 Ford
Induction: Mechanically Injected Methanol
System: XDI Ignition with DFUs

Owned, built and driven by the father and son team of Gerald and Johnn Cressman of Sioux Falls, SD, this Sprint Car is proof that magnetos are not the only option for success. The XDI ignition system has proven to be a great alternative to costly and problem prone mag ignitions. The increased timing accuracy has shown significantly less engine wear, while the lack of moving parts has greatly increased system reliability. All that combined with Gerald’s engine building skills and Johnn’s skill behind the wheel produced a 2007 USRA Champion Sprint Championship with not one ignition related DNF. Did we mention it costs about half as much as a mag with no rebuilds needed?
